Mark your calendar for October 18, 19, and 20 to attend Biocene - Biomimicry: Transforming Materials
Why Biocene?
The name Biocene was adopted in 2018 to identify a new epoch (beyond the anthropocene) led by the lessons, designs, and efficacy of biological systems. The conference provides a collective perspective, looking through a biomimetic lens accelerating progress toward solving complex problems, creating an evolved economy that supports ecological, economic, and societal health. We believe Biocene creates the conditions for the fruitful interaction of an impassioned group focused on advancing this mindset, inherent in biomimicry design thinking.
Intent
Continue to build, encourage, and strengthen the network of those interested in biomimicry, from varied disciplines, to support developing bio-inspired innovation and the tools needed for it to evolve.
Outcomes
Biocene supports the ecosystem of researchers, academics, scientists, business innovators, students, and the nonprofit sector by enriching the whole system through increasing knowledge of and skills in biomimicry, enabling it to diversify and thrive.
Who should attend:
Businesses who are looking to flourish in ways they might not be currently exploring.
Governmental departments and not for profits who are looking for different ways to think about innovation and sustainability.
Researchers and academics who want to present their work and learn from others and forge collaborations with attendees for furthering research
Students exploring career options and interests in biomimicry innovation and how it can lead to novel ways of solving problems
